On this week's episode of #TruthtoPower, IntelStor's Founder & CEO, Philip Totaro investigates the installed capacity and market share of the global onshore #windenergy market from the IntelStor Future of Renewables #marketresearch Report.

The global market for solid biofuels is   113.1GW as of the end of 2025  with capacity deployed in  118 countries worldwide. While China leads the world with   19.53 GW installed, unlike other   renewable energy technologies, solid   biofuels capacity in the rest of the  world is fairly close to that of China.

The diversity of countries supporting   the strength of market share in all   global regions is noteworthy. The Americas has 35.4 GW installed   for a 31.3% market share to date.   Europe’s 22.5% share is spread across almost all EU member states as well   as many other European countries   which enjoy heavily forested areas.

Annual capacity additions for solid   biofuels did surge recently with 2025   showing the largest installed  capacity  in the past 25 years at 7.65 GW. By 2030, solid biofuels should end the   decade with a total of 164.4 GW,   with the Asia Pacific region leading  at 78.8 GW installed.
